11k mark bloody hell. Just a quick look on auto trader and 900+cc machines that are just a few years old are coming in around 11k and 5x the bike. Ducati really know how to price people out of bikes

If this bike able to have a centre stand, why can't it's sibling, the Hornet have it too.....

BTW Mark, thanks for the great reviews done exactly the way I want them! It also helps that you are the exact dimensions I am (maybe I'm~ 8kg heavier) also 60ish years old but still fit and riding in a "spirited" but very safe way! Cheers Mate from Western Australia

I've done so much research to see if the M2 battery would work on M1 and only thing i can't find is M2 battery dimensions, wondering if you could answer my question as eleglide support avoided answering me basically saying buy the m2 if you want better battery 😂 in your opinion do think the M2 battery would work on M1?

That USB connector looks like someone zip-tied a 1980s Braun electric razor to the handlebar... :P As for the rest of the bike: I wish they'd made it less "black and more black". Don't much care for that look on the Honda Rebels, either and with the Kawasaki it's even worse because they don't even offer any paint-options besides black - at least in my market they don't. With a little more attention to detail, and maybe with some of the more ghastly looking hoses, wires and cables tucked away a bit more thoroughly, I think the bike could look a lot nicer. And it can't really be a cost issue, I think. Both of Triumph's new 400 models cost roughly the same as the EL (IIRC, the Speed 400 is even cheaper than the Kawa) and they definitely look more visually refined to me.

I was hoping you would take it on a dual carriageway as the vibrations at high speeds are reported to be quite nasty, so anyone looking to do a bit of touring it would be a serious consideration. I would of valued your input on this, because you can’t always get a test ride in some countries. Good video as always.

Nearly bought a Hunter, but instead paid a little more and got a Meteor. Same engine, just a little bigger, as we ride two up...and it is fantastic. Done 5,000km and it just gets better and better.

Serious bit of kit, ive been riding a single 1000w for nearly 4000 miles now but my battery is only 16.5ah so range is about 20 miles if i use all the power.

Thanks for the review Mark. There are not many reviews about this one, although it seems to be very similar to the dyu c6, but without the accelerator and in this case with power control levels. You didn't show how to remove the battery, but I guess it is the same as the dyu c6, there is a lever behind the saddle which you use to incline it so you don't need to remove the saddle to extract the battery. I would probably change the saddle and the grips of the handle bar to give it a bit of a vintage look (that is what my gf like), but I don't know if the mechanism of the saddle would allow me to replace it with a regular one, could you tell me if the saddle besides the inclining mechanism can be replaced with a new one or is it an entire system that can only be replaced with the same model?

I'd rather trust a KTM single than a Ducati. If it's a 659, how do they get away with calling it a 698. Give me a Husqvarna 701SM any day. I like the performance low down the rev range.
